Description

  • Meet or exceed quota while building strong customer relationships.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial prospects and customers in the assigned territory.
  • Own the book of business by documenting buying criteria, process, next steps, and stakeholders.
  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline through consistent prospecting activity.
  • Prospect, close new business, and expand the territory.
  • Drive product adoption, while minimizing churn and contraction.
  • Collaborate with partners and cross-functional teams, including Customer Success, Renewals, and Sales Development, to support pre- and post-sales account leadership.
  • Create accurate quarterly forecasts against plan and budget.
  • Contribute to root cause analyses of wins and losses and share lessons learned with the team.
  • Contribute improvements to the sales handbook and product ideas through the public issue tracker.

Requirements

  • Must be located in Central, Mountain, or Pacific time zones.
  • Demonstrated progressive experience in SaaS sales.
  • Experience pitching value to development teams, preferably DevOps teams.
  • Interest in GitLab and open source software.
  • Ability to leverage established relationships and proven sales techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivated, driven, and results-oriented.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Preferred experience with Git, software development tools, and application lifecycle management.
  • Ability to travel regularly to meet customers in person and comply with the company travel policy.

Benefits

  • United States base salary range of $91,600 to $152,400 USD.
