Description

  • Meet or exceed quota while building strong customer relationships.
  • Articulate GitLab’s value to commercial prospects and customers in Canada.
  • Own the book of business in your territory and manage each account as the primary point of contact.
  • Document buying criteria, buying process, next steps, and owners for opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through consistent prospecting activity.
  • Prospect, close new business, and expand territory revenue.
  • Drive customer adoption, prevent churn, and minimize contraction.
  • Collaborate with partners to generate new business and customer value.
  • Create accurate quarterly forecasts against plan and budget.
  • Participate in events, root cause analyses on wins and losses, and sales handbook improvements.
  • Work cross-functionally with Customer Success, Renewals, Sales Development, marketing, and technical teams to lead accounts and support customers pre- and post-sale.
  • Represent the customer by sharing product ideas in the public issue tracker.
  • Master and apply MEDPICC and Command of the Message across opportunities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated progressive experience in SaaS sales, including value-based selling to development teams, preferably DevOps teams.
  • Interest in GitLab and open source software.
  • Ability to leverage established relationships and proven sales techniques.
  • Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Motivated, driven, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Preferred experience with Git, software development tools, and application lifecycle management.
  • Alignment with GitLab’s values and ability to work in accordance with them.
  • Ability to travel regularly to meet customers in person and comply with the company travel policy.
  • Candidates with varying levels of experience are welcome, and not every qualification is required.
