Description

  • Own and manage a mid-market book of business as the primary point of contact for new and expansion opportunities.
  • Prospect, qualify, and advance opportunities to build and maintain a healthy pipeline.
  • Run complex sales cycles and document buying criteria, decision processes, next steps, and stakeholders.
  • Present the value of GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform to technical and business audiences.
  • Collaborate with Sales Development, Solutions Consultants, Renewals, Marketing, Partners, and Sales leadership on account strategies.
  • Support customer adoption, reduce churn and contraction, and participate in forecasting and territory planning.
  • Use value-based selling and structured sales methodologies to support revenue goals.
  • Share win/loss insights, update the sales handbook, and provide customer feedback to the product team.

Requirements

  • Must be located in Canada.
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions through value-based conversations with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience working with development or DevSecOps teams is preferred.
  • Ability to manage a broad mid-market territory from prospecting through close, adoption, and expansion.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, including discovery, negotiation, and closing.
  • Comfort with consistent outbound prospecting, pipeline creation, and accurate forecast documentation.
  • Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams including sales development, customer success, renewals, marketing, partners, and technical teams.
  • Clear, structured communication skills and the ability to present to different audience levels.
  • Interest in GitLab, open source, and software development tools.
  • Willingness to travel to meet customers and attend events as needed.
