Description

  • Own delivery outcomes, sequencing, quality, and predictability across the Go API, Hosted Journeys, and Interactions Editor squads.
  • Coordinate cross-squad dependencies and establish delivery metrics such as flow, cycle time, change failure rate, and escaped defects.
  • Guide technical direction across API design, journey runtime behavior, configuration modeling, reliability, performance, observability, and security.
  • Manage technical debt and platform resilience as planned investments while driving shared patterns, components, and contracts.
  • Lead adoption of AI-assisted development, including coding agents, review assistance, test generation, documentation, evaluation, and governance.
  • Measure the impact of AI-enabled engineering on throughput, quality, and developer experience, and share effective practices across engineering.
  • Lead, coach, hire, and develop engineers, tech leads, and senior individual contributors across three squads.
  • Partner with Product leadership on roadmap decisions and communicate technical trade-offs, risks, and confidence to stakeholders.
  • Represent engineering during incidents, escalations, and customer-critical situations, ensuring effective follow-through.

Requirements

  • Significant engineering management experience leading multiple teams or squads, ideally 20+ engineers directly and through tech leads.
  • Experience delivering and operating customer-facing SaaS platforms at scale, including public APIs, hosted experiences, or configuration-driven products.
  • Strong full-stack technical depth across service and front-end technologies.
  • Knowledge of modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, trunk-based development, feature flags, progressive delivery, testing strategy, and observability.
  • Practical experience with AI-assisted development workflows and the ability to evaluate their benefits and limitations.
  • Ability to use metrics and systems thinking to drive behavioral and operational improvements.
  • Experience leading in globally distributed organizations and influencing teams outside direct reporting lines.
  • Excellent communication skills across technical, product, commercial, and executive audiences.
  • Experience in identity verification, fraud, KYC/AML, RegTech, or another regulated data domain is preferred.
  • Experience with journey orchestration, workflow engines, low-code tooling, embeddable SDKs, developer platforms, or enablement practices is preferred.
