Description

  • Build, coach, hire, and manage a high-performing team of embedded engineers.
  • Define and maintain FDE intake, routing, delivery, reuse, and engagement lifecycle standards.
  • Create repeatable frameworks for prioritization, intake routing, and graduation decisions.
  • Align engineers, product owners, business sponsors, and executives on priorities, standards, and roadmaps.
  • Promote reusable assets, developer tooling, starter kits, and internal marketplace practices.
  • Set technical standards for AI agents and automation using enterprise platforms.
  • Own security, compliance, AI cost telemetry, and delivery lifecycle governance.
  • Translate business pain points into technical requirements and communicate FDE capacity, outcomes, and costs.
  • Define success metrics and operate the intake, SLA, reuse, and outcomes rhythm as demand grows.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, data engineering, or AI/ML delivery.
  • 2+ years of experience managing engineers.
  • Experience leading teams in Forward Deployed Engineering, technical consulting, or matrixed environments.
  • Experience defining and scaling operational playbooks, intake standards, routing models, and reusable delivery processes.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous processes into clear, repeatable frameworks.
  • Experience with reusable assets, developer tooling, ADK/SDK patterns, and production ownership practices.
  • Experience with operational governance, compliance, AI cost telemetry, and prototype-to-production delivery.
  • Deep familiarity with LLM ecosystems, agentic workflows, and cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Gemini, Claude, and Cursor.
  • Ability to distinguish short-term optimization opportunities from initiatives requiring product-roadmap investment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including explaining AI concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Experience measuring engineering ROI and managing vendor, licensing, or infrastructure costs.
  • Preferred: Experience implementing enterprise intake and routing models with backlogs and triage SLAs.
  • Preferred: Hands-on delivery using Databricks, Gemini Enterprise, Claude, Airtable, and/or Cursor.
  • Preferred: Music, media, entertainment, Finance, HR, or creative/label operations experience.
  • Preferred: Player-coach experience setting technical standards without needing to be the team’s strongest coder.
