Description

  • Design and build scalable and efficient machine learning models using classic and generative AI techniques.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for machine learning inquiries and provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Advise teams on deploying scalable ML models and pipelines on Google Cloud Platform using services such as Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, and AI Platform.
  • Conduct ongoing research to stay current with developments in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify machine learning opportunities that drive innovation and solve business and operational problems.
  • Ensure the robustness, fairness, and ethical use of all developed models.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support strategic decision-making around AI/ML solution design and implementation.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with classic machine learning methodologies, including regression, classification, clustering, and ensemble methods.
  • Proven experience with generative AI models and techniques, including GANs, VAEs, and large language models.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Google Cloud Platform and its machine learning services.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Familiarity with common ML libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
  • Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer certification is highly desirable.
  • Background working with the United States Air Force or other Department of Defense entities is a significant plus.
  • Strong track record in research, evidenced by publications or contributions to research projects.
  • Familiarity with MLOps principles and practices for continuous delivery and automation of ML models.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
