Description

  • Work with on-premise infrastructure, including bare metal and virtual machines, for setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Own automation projects end to end, from design and rollout through ongoing maintenance.
  • Keep servers, web servers, databases, and queues stable, fast, and secure.
  • Investigate production incidents across OS, networking, and infrastructure layers, apply mitigations, and coordinate post-incident follow-up.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to operational issues.
  • Drive clarity in ambiguous situations by defining requirements, assumptions, and next steps.
  • Improve operational hygiene and harden/tune systems to increase reliability.
  • Collaborate with developers and participate in post-mortems after incidents.
  • Use AI tools in day-to-day work for research, troubleshooting, and development.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, or in a closely related role.
  • Hands-on experience with servers, virtual machines, and bare metal at the OS level and below.
  • Strong Linux skills; Ubuntu experience is preferred, and familiarity with Linux crisis tools is expected.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and ability to configure and troubleshoot iptables.
  • Experience with Ansible and Git.
  • Experience with Bash or Python scripting for automation and observability.
  • Production and on-call experience, including incident diagnosis, service restoration, and post-mortems.
  • Strong ownership and attention to detail in high-impact operational work.
  • Hands-on experience in two or more of the following: ClickHouse, MongoDB, Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, HAProxy/Nginx, OS tuning, full disk encryption on LVM, or infrastructure security tools such as Teleport and HashiCorp Vault.
  • Nice to have: experience with VictoriaMetrics, complex CI/CD pipelines, bare-metal Kubernetes, Flux/GitOps, or Terraform.
