Description

  • Work primarily with on-premise infrastructure, including bare metal and virtual machines, for setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Own automation projects end to end, from design and rollout through ongoing maintenance.
  • Improve system reliability by hardening and tuning infrastructure and strengthening operational hygiene.
  • Keep servers, web servers, databases, and queues stable, fast, and secure.
  • Investigate production incidents across OS, networking, and infrastructure layers, then apply mitigations and support post-mortems.
  • Coordinate with developers during incident response and collaborate on restoring service.
  • Participate in on-call rotations.
  • Use AI tools in day-to-day research, troubleshooting, and development tasks.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or SRE, or in closely related responsibilities.
  • Hands-on experience with servers at the OS level and below, including VMs and bare metal.
  • Strong Linux skills; Ubuntu experience is expected, along with comfort using core Linux crisis tools.
  • Solid understanding of networking basics and ability to configure and troubleshoot iptables.
  • Experience with Ansible and Git.
  • Experience with Bash or Python scripting for automation or observability.
  • Production and on-call experience, including incident diagnosis, service restoration, and post-mortems.
  • Strong ownership and attention to detail in high-impact operational environments.
  • Hands-on experience in two or more of the following areas: ClickHouse, MongoDB, Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, HAProxy/Nginx, OS tuning, full disk encryption on LVM, or infrastructure security tools such as Teleport and HashiCorp Vault.
  • Preferred experience with VictoriaMetrics, complex scripted Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, bare-metal Kubernetes, Flux/GitOps, or Terraform.
