Description

  • Develop test methods, procedures, frameworks, and fixtures for software and hardware validation across integration, unit, and system testing.
  • Execute regression, performance, stress, and reliability testing for Fort devices, manually and through automation.
  • Create test plans, procedures, and documentation that enable repeatable and reliable testing.
  • Collaborate with internal and external hardware and software teams to identify, debug, and resolve firmware and electrical hardware issues.
  • Contribute to design reviews and define testability requirements early in product development.
  • Support the product engineering team in building and maintaining R&D test environments.
  • Work with manufacturing partners to create and document production test processes for hardware and software.
  • Support production and program management with technical expertise for special customer deliveries.
  • Contribute to re-engineering existing designs to improve quality and manufacturability.
  • Work directly with customers at customer sites to support enablement and customer success, with 10-20% travel.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing tests for complex embedded products.
  • 2+ years of experience in embedded software test automation and test framework development.
  • Proficiency in Python and Bash, with experience using Numpy and Pandas for data analysis.
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop validation processes and infrastructures.
  • Familiarity with Docker, GitLab, Jenkins, and Git.
  • Experience designing custom hardware and software fixtures or tools for embedded system testing.
  • Experience with wired networking technologies such as Ethernet, CAN, and UART, as well as wireless technologies such as BLE, Wi-Fi, and LTE.
  • Ability to track multiple efforts and communicate status to stakeholders across the company.
  • Ability to communicate solutions, ideas, and processes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Preferred degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Preferred experience with Pytest and scaling system design principles.
  • Preferred familiarity with C++ and MATLAB.
  • Preferred experience with requirement management tools such as Jama and Polarion and with requirement testing.
  • Preferred experience with custom hardware design.
  • Preferred experience with safety standards such as IEC 61508 and ISO 26262.
