Description

  • Design and implement new US payments gateway functionality in Go.
  • Build payment flows, scheme-specific behaviors, error handling, validation, and operational logic.
  • Create comprehensive automated integration tests for new functionality.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other functions to refine requirements and validate implementation choices.
  • Contribute to technical design proposals, implementation plans, and platform architecture problem-solving.
  • Support resilience, performance, disaster recovery, failure-mode testing, and operational readiness.
  • Improve monitoring, alerting, telemetry, and observability from development through production.
  • Support production readiness, including release preparation, deployment, and post-launch issue resolution.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, including design notes, test documentation, deployment guidance, runbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure work meets Form3 engineering standards, security expectations, and critical payments infrastructure requirements.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of designing and building distributed systems.
  • Experience working on complex, high-performance, robust software systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud and containerisation technologies.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Go.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to share knowledge and collaborate with others.
  • Interest in owning projects end-to-end and supporting them through production launch.
  • Appreciation of clean code and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, Kubernetes, CockroachDB, NATS JetStream, Elasticsearch, Vault, Cilium, Terraform, Flux, GitHub, Prometheus, Pact.io, or Tilt is relevant.
  • Experience with TDD/BDD, pair programming, containerised microservices, CQRS, or SecDevOps is relevant.
