Description

  • Co-lead a pod of up to 10 clinicians alongside a Registered Dietitian Lead.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to reporting clinicians to help them deliver high-quality care.
  • Hold regular one-on-one meetings, conduct chart reviews, and complete annual quality assurance sessions.
  • Listen to clinician concerns, problem-solve issues, and escalate solutions to leadership when appropriate.
  • Provide feedback on clinical work and team participation.
  • Support professional development by creating opportunities for education and growth.
  • Monitor signs of burnout and help implement mitigation strategies.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training medical clinicians.
  • Identify operational issues, gather feedback, and help develop and implement solutions, policies, and procedures.
  • Support daily operations for clinical administrative staff and collaborate with the Regional Medical Director on clinical efficiency and other initiatives.

Requirements

  • Board certification in Endocrinology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), certification by the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM), or at least 3 years of extensive clinical experience in obesity medicine and pharmacotherapy.
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, or Connecticut.
  • Preferred 5 years of experience as an attending physician in a primary specialty or endocrinology.
  • Preferred 1 year of experience supervising APPs in a clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong interest in mentoring, teaching, and collaborating with APPs and Registered Dietitians.
  • Demonstrated competency and comfort managing patients with complex comorbidities.
  • Commitment to evidence-based treatment, behavioral interventions, nutrition, and pharmacotherapy for endocrine disorders and obesity.
  • Passion for delivering an exceptional patient experience and helping create a positive work environment.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, adapt to evolving clinic needs, and contribute to continuous improvement.
