Description

  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines for structured and unstructured data used in machine learning applications.
  • Clean datasets and perform feature engineering to support model development.
  • Annotate and review image data as a core part of the machine learning workflow.
  • Use Python, SQL, and statistical analysis to explore data and generate actionable insights.
  • Train, fine-tune, evaluate, and experiment with deep learning models for computer vision use cases.
  • Own machine learning outcomes end to end, from data quality and model performance to deployment and product impact.
  • Collaborate with annotation, machine learning, software engineering, hardware, product, and data teams to improve workflows and productionize models.
  • Deploy, monitor, and maintain models in production environments.
  • Help make machine learning processes and results accessible to teams across the company.
  • Make independent technical decisions and drive projects forward with autonomy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience across the machine learning or data science lifecycle, with a focus on computer vision.
  • Experience applying semantic segmentation to a real-world business or production use case.
  • Strong Python skills and experience with tools such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, Jupyter, pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully to improve productivity, quality, and speed.
  • Experience performing statistical analysis and rigorously evaluating machine learning models.
  • At least 2 years of experience with a major cloud platform such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Working knowledge of MLOps practices for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining production machine learning systems.
  • Strong analytical, programming, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and balance speed with quality standards.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Preferred: experience developing and deploying computer vision models for image classification and object detection.
  • Preferred: experience deploying models at the edge, including GPU optimization and resource-constrained devices.
  • Preferred: familiarity with image annotation platforms such as FiftyOne or Roboflow.
  • Preferred: experience designing, building, or maintaining ETL pipelines.
  • Preferred: experience fine-tuning deep learning models.
  • Preferred: ability to lead early-stage research projects amid ambiguity and evolving requirements.
  • Preferred: experience deploying and supporting edge models in live industrial environments.
  • Preferred: image-matching or image-similarity experience.
  • Preferred: previous experience at an early-stage startup.
  • Preferred: deep learning side projects that demonstrate curiosity or technical depth.
