Description

  • Own the strategy and execution of developer-focused marketing for the company’s API.
  • Own the editorial calendar and produce technical content such as blog posts, API guides, data-driven reports, and case studies.
  • Partner with data and engineering teams to uncover platform insights, usage trends, and benchmarks for thought leadership.
  • Write and edit content that is technically credible, concise, and useful for developer audiences.
  • Develop a consistent voice and content strategy that differentiates the API.
  • Identify and analyze platform data trends to produce original research and industry-relevant insights.
  • Distribute content through external publications, newsletters, and developer-facing media.
  • Own and optimize listings across API marketplaces and developer directories to maximize discoverability.
  • Monitor listing performance, maintain documentation and descriptions, and A/B test messaging to improve conversion.
  • Map, activate, and scale developer channels and outreach programs across communities, forums, and other relevant channels.
  • Partner with product and developer relations teams to align content with launches, feature releases, and SDK updates.
  • Define KPIs, track growth metrics, and report program performance with actionable recommendations.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in growth marketing, content marketing, or developer marketing.
  • At least 2 years of experience focused on technical or API-first products.
  • Demonstrable experience writing content for developer audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience pulling insights from data platforms and translating them into narratives.
  • Hands-on experience managing API marketplace listings or developer directory presences.
  • Deep familiarity with the developer ecosystem and how developers discover and evaluate new tools.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a portfolio of technical content.
  • Experience using tools like Crunchbase or similar to identify and prioritize target accounts.
  • Experience using APIs, MCPs, agents, or tools like Zapier to design and execute automated campaigns.
  • Prior experience at a developer tools company, API platform, or infrastructure startup (preferred).
  • Ability to read and write basic code in Python, JavaScript, or similar (preferred).
  • Experience building or growing a developer community from an early stage (preferred).
  • Familiarity with SEO strategies for developer-focused content, including documentation SEO and technical long-tail content (preferred).
  • Experience with product-led growth motions and the developer-to-paying-customer funnel (preferred).
