Description

  • Personally build and maintain core dbt models used for reporting across finance, product, sales, and customer success.
  • Own and evolve FiscalNote's enterprise analytics and reporting infrastructure as the source of truth for business performance data.
  • Identify analytical gaps proactively and deliver reporting solutions before stakeholders request them.
  • Provide technical and functional leadership across Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Fivetran, Segment, Heap, Metabase, and Stitch.
  • Serve as the direct technical administrator and functional lead for Metabase and Heap.
  • Build, maintain, and improve dashboards and reporting in Metabase so they remain accurate, performant, and accessible.
  • Define and maintain a self-serve analytics framework for business teams.
  • Prepare board- and investor-level data models and reporting for senior leadership.
  • Support M&A due diligence, including data separation and migration for acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Manage audit-related activities, data governance, data quality standards, and compliance across owned systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, operations, product, and engineering on analytics initiatives.
  • Coach and mentor junior analysts and develop training programs to increase self-serve analytics adoption.
  • Drive AI/ML initiatives and automation efforts to improve analytical efficiency and scalability.
  • Manage system performance, scalability, security, and compliance across owned platforms.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a senior or lead role.
  • Advanced SQL skills with deep hands-on experience in Snowflake, including writing complex production-grade queries.
  • Extensive experience building data models from Salesforce data and understanding Salesforce object structure, relationships, and data quality issues.
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining dbt models in a production environment.
  • Proficiency with modern data stack tools including Snowflake, Databricks, Fivetran, and Segment.
  • Experience building and managing reporting in Metabase or a comparable BI platform.
  • Familiarity with ThoughtSpot or Sigma is a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite, Coupa, Zendesk, and Gong data structures and integrations is preferred.
  • Track record of delivering executive-level analytics and reporting to C-suite stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and independently prioritize what needs to be built.
  • Strong data governance mindset with experience establishing quality standards and documentation practices.
  • Experience managing and scaling small, high-impact technical teams.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience supporting M&A due diligence or system migrations in a corporate transaction context is preferred.
  • Experience with SOX or similar audit and compliance frameworks for data systems is preferred.
  • Experience driving AI/ML or intelligent automation initiatives in a business analytics context is preferred.
  • Background in SaaS or technology companies with complex, multi-system data environments.
