Description

  • Design and write test plans and automated test scripts across backend services, APIs, and customer-facing applications.
  • Design and implement automated test frameworks.
  • Build solutions to support automated testing and load testing.
  • Analyze and improve the scalability, performance, and efficiency of the testing pipeline.
  • Independently identify opportunities for automated testing across end-to-end, integration, UI, and other levels.
  • Drive complex projects forward to completion and exercise independent judgment.
  • Make informed recommendations to management on usability, serviceability, and suggested changes.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to other engineers.
  • Communicate clearly with technical and management audiences.

Requirements

  • 7+ years working as a software engineer or test automation engineer.
  • Expertise in an object-oriented language such as C# or Java.
  • Complete understanding of the application development life cycle.
  • Expert knowledge of QA testing techniques and the STLC.
  • Expert experience testing REST web services.
  • Experience testing backend-heavy services with little or no user interface.
  • Ability to design and build custom test tooling and harnesses for difficult-to-test systems, including asynchronous and event-driven services.
  • Practical experience applying GenAI/LLMs to engineering productivity, test generation, and analysis challenges.
  • Experience with stress and load testing tools and techniques.
  • Experience testing telephony, VoIP, or other real-time communication systems (nice to have).
  • Experience testing AI-driven, conversational, or agent-based applications (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (nice to have).
  • Expert understanding of stubbing and mocking (nice to have).
  • Expert understanding of GitLab and CI/CD pipelines (nice to have).
  • Expert understanding of automated testing frameworks such as Playwright (nice to have).
