Description

  • Build and lead the education team, including managing the current EDU team and hiring new strategic roles.
  • Define and execute global go-to-market strategies across K–12, higher education, and bootcamps.
  • Lead international expansion through regional programs and partnerships in markets including India, Brazil, Singapore, and Australia.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design to advocate for educator needs and shape classroom-optimized features.
  • Work with Legal to address privacy, safety, and regulatory requirements across international markets.
  • Build relationships with Ministries of Education, universities, and ecosystem partners to drive adoption.
  • Use data to measure, analyze, and improve adoption, engagement, and program impact.
  • Represent Figma at conferences, speaking engagements, and internal leadership updates as the face of education.
  • Develop and scale programs from 0-to-1 while operating effectively in ambiguous, cross-functional environments.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in go-to-market strategy, education sales or marketing, international expansion, partnerships, consulting, business operations, or program management.
  • Experience managing remote teams across multiple time zones.
  • Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to track, analyze, and optimize adoption and engagement metrics.
  • Track record of building programs or products from 0-to-1 while collaborating across Product, Engineering, Design, GTM, and Sales.
  • Deep knowledge of the education sector, including K–12, higher education, and bootcamps.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills with government, school leaders, and industry partners.
  • Experience in process and community building.
  • Preferred: experience at a high-growth tech company or startup.
  • Preferred: background in community building and education marketing.
  • Preferred: familiarity with legal and compliance considerations in international education markets.
  • Preferred: proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, or other relevant languages.
