Description

  • Own the QA strategy across Analyzer and Runtime by defining release-ready criteria and enforceable quality gates in CI/CD.
  • Build and extend automated test suites across APIs, integrations, E2E flows, CLIs, and BDD scenarios.
  • Prevent production incidents by closing gaps in front-end behavior, FE/BE integration, and real customer data conditions.
  • Design cross-cutting regression coverage to prevent changes in one product area from breaking another.
  • Create test strategies for multi-tenant/RBAC boundaries, event-driven pipelines, LLM-enriched analysis, SBOM/CVE accuracy, and embedded hardware or emulator-based targets.
  • Track and improve quality metrics such as flakiness, coverage, escaped defects, and release confidence.
  • Partner with engineering to shift testing left, improve bug reports and reproductions, and shape release/regression cadence.
  • Lay the foundation for a scalable QA function by setting standards, tooling, playbooks, and mentoring engineers.
  • Grow the Runtime Test Framework so detection rules are validated consistently across backends and agent types.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in QA or test engineering with ownership of test automation for a production software product.
  • Strong automation skills, including reading and writing code, building test suites, and integrating them into CI/CD such as GitHub Actions.
  • Hands-on experience testing both APIs/backends and web frontends, including integration, E2E, contract, and regression testing.
  • Ability to reason about distributed services, event-driven architectures, authentication, multi-tenancy, and system risk points.
  • Fluency with modern test tools such as Playwright, Robot Framework, Cypress, or BDD/Cucumber-style frameworks, or equivalent.
  • Ability to set direction independently in a fast-moving environment and turn ambiguity into a prioritized quality plan.
  • Excellent written communication skills for remote-first, async collaboration and precise bug reporting.
  • Experience designing regression strategies for platforms with multiple interacting components.
  • Exposure to security, embedded/IoT, or systems software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Rust or willingness to learn enough to test Rust services effectively.
  • Experience testing on hardware, emulators, or virtualized targets such as QEMU, Vagrant, EC2/SSM, Yocto, embedded Linux, or RTOS.
  • Experience as an early or first QA hire building the function from the ground up is preferred.
