Description

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing across multiple payroll cycles in a multi-state, multi-unit environment.
  • Process payroll accurately and on time, including commissions, bonuses, garnishments, taxes, deductions, and special incentive payrolls.
  • Update payroll records for new hires, terminations, leaves, and pay rate changes.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, including multi-state tax regulations.
  • Reconcile payroll with Finance, support audits, and produce accurate payroll reporting.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for the Rippling HRIS system, including data integrity, configurations, workflows, reporting, and integrations.
  • Lead HRIS enhancements, implementations, and process improvements.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including open enrollment, carrier enrollments, 401(k) contributions, and billing.
  • Resolve employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, unemployment claims, and other HR issues.
  • Partner with field leaders, Finance, and the Head of HR on headcount reporting, labor costs, budgeting, and compliance initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR operations experience.
  • Strong experience managing multi-state payroll in a high-volume environment for 600+ exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms, with Rippling strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of wage and hour laws, payroll compliance, and benefits regulations.
  • Experience in retail, multi-unit, or service-based organizations preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and accountability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Remote employment must be supported from one of the following states: Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, or Texas.
