Description

  • Provide professional, empathetic customer service to patients and providers by phone and email.
  • Assist members with detailed provider searches using network look-up tools.
  • Help members navigate digital programs and route escalations and questions.
  • Contact provider offices or facilities to obtain prior authorization materials, medical records, forms, facility location, or Tax ID numbers for claims billing.
  • Assist with claims-related work such as adjusting site of service.
  • Protect patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and internal policies.
  • Ensure compliance with URAC and NCQA accreditation guidelines and applicable state and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • 2-3 years of customer service experience.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with electronic medical records.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Windows.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and flexibly in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Experience in a health insurance plan is preferred.
  • Experience with medical office or customer support is preferred.
  • Associate’s degree in a medical field is preferred.
  • Must reside in the United States within the Central (CST) or Eastern (EST) time zone.
  • Must be available for standard business hours Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM CST, with occasional flexibility for regulatory response deadlines.
  • Must maintain a dedicated, private workspace separate from other living areas.
  • Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection.
