Description

  • Research, review, and respond to inquiries from members and providers by phone and email.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls while delivering a professional customer service experience.
  • Use company policies, benefits, claims, and eligibility information to provide accurate responses.
  • Manage escalations and member complaints through resolution with appropriate follow-through.
  • Document all calls accurately and maintain required production and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, business partners, and providers to solve problems efficiently.
  • Interpret claims, claim payments, and billing-related inquiries.
  • Identify call trends and escalate suggested solutions to leadership.
  • Assist members with navigating the member portal and encourage self-service tool use.
  • Participate in virtual team huddles, one-on-ones, and check-ins while maintaining attendance and schedule adherence.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of customer service experience supporting a commercial health plan, not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, or pharmacy.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
  • Ability to work remotely from the United States in the CST or EST time zone.
  • Experience collaborating with Claims, Medical Management, and Appeals and Grievance teams.
  • Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology, including CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and revenue codes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneNote.
  • Prior experience using a CRM system, preferably Salesforce.
  • Ability to maintain a dedicated private workspace and keep sensitive documents secure.
  • High-speed internet service available at the candidate's location.
