Description

  • Build relationships with customers by presenting, demonstrating, and supporting Esri software and solutions.
  • Help plan and execute sales strategies as part of the Geo Experience team.
  • Develop deep expertise in multiple industries and in ArcGIS technology.
  • Communicate the Esri value proposition clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proactively craft and propose GIS solutions that address customer business challenges.
  • Define strategies that align Esri technology with customer business needs.
  • Deliver technical demonstrations of proposed solutions to customers.
  • Design presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide best practices for the use, deployment, and administration of Esri technology.
  • Present at conferences and trade shows.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications.
  • 1+ years of experience working in various industries.
  • Programming and scripting experience with Python and JavaScript.
  • Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context, including hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing.
  • Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design.
  • Understanding of sales and business development processes.
  • Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
  • Bachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture (preferred).
  • Experience integrating software solutions with data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms (preferred).
  • Experience incorporating real-time information streams with GIS data and IT infrastructure (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts (preferred).
  • Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, version control, and CI/CD workflows (preferred).
  • Familiarity with WebGL (preferred).
  • Excellent creative thinking and communication skills (preferred).
  • Design and cartography experience (preferred).
  • Master’s degree in geography, GIS, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field (preferred).
