Description

  • Define goals, specifications, audiences, content, and structure for new pages and features.
  • Prioritize work across the website based on audience needs and usability.
  • Establish standards for layouts, filters, charts, terminology, navigation, and shared site components.
  • Manage projects from initial goal and specification through design review, development, QA, and launch.
  • Provide feedback on designs and resolve questions from designers and developers.
  • Use analytics, user feedback, and interviews to determine what to build or remove.
  • Own pre-launch QA across the website and identify usability, labeling, navigation, and functionality issues.
  • Coordinate with researchers, product designers, web developers, and the communications team.

Requirements

  • Strong product judgment and the ability to simplify complex information for users.
  • Clear professional writing for briefs, decision notes, and team communication.
  • Comfort interpreting data, charts, and research and quickly learning new research areas.
  • Understanding of audiences including policymakers, journalists, researchers, and AI lab professionals.
  • Experience shipping web products with designers and developers.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, prioritization, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to track decisions and follow through on commitments.
  • Professional-level English proficiency; application materials must be submitted in English.
  • Availability for at least three hours of work-hour overlap with Pacific Time; North or South American time zones preferred.
  • Ability to attend three annual team retreats.
  • Familiarity with Epoch AI research or AI more broadly preferred.
  • Prior product management experience, front-end knowledge, and comfort with AI coding tools such as Claude preferred.

  • Annual salary of $115,000–$185,000 USD, adjusted by location and experience, with additional location-based adjustments where applicable.
