Description

  • Build and support login, sign-up, session management, safety and privacy controls, developer integrations, and family management features.
  • Design, create, deploy, and operate user flows for sign-in, sign-up, and account management.
  • Own the full lifecycle of services and web applications, including live operations and deployment.
  • Work with distributed systems to handle large-scale challenges using Java and Scala.
  • Work with public cloud infrastructure, including AWS, to support a fast-moving ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with upstream and downstream service owners, producers, and infrastructure/DevOps engineers to ship solutions.
  • Connect front-end user flows with backend services in reusable patterns across games, apps, and services.
  • Contribute to internal account tools and player-facing experiences for products like Epic Games Store, Fortnite, Rocket League, and Fall Guys.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience building secure, scalable, highly available web applications and services.
  • Experience programming back-end web services in Java or a similar language.
  • Experience programming front-end applications with modern frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, especially AWS.
  • Demonstrated understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with modern SQL and nonrelational databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, and Redis is preferred.
  • Experience working on distributed systems is preferred.
  • Experience with React is common at Epic Games and is preferred.
