Description

  • Take end-to-end ownership of deliverables and ensure quality, security, and performance standards are met.
  • Design, build, and optimize DevOps solutions that help clients make better use of their cloud platforms.
  • Refine requirements, influence solution design, and deliver working systems across the full project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues, client teams, and stakeholders in cross-functional project environments.
  • Provide technical guidance and informal mentoring to less experienced engineers.
  • Contribute to pre-sales activities by analysing technical requirements and supporting proposal development.
  • Participate in internal competency work by sharing knowledge and improving delivery approaches.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges on complex projects within your scope of work.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and building advanced CI/CD pipelines from scratch using two or more platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
  • Experience creating reusable pipeline templates, reusable workflows, and infrastructure modules such as Terraform.
  • Experience integrating automated quality checks, testing, and security scanning into pipelines.
  • Hands-on commercial experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or cloud-native tooling such as ARM/Bicep or CloudFormation.
  • Experience designing, deploying, and operating Kubernetes clusters for production workloads at scale.
  • Experience configuring application routing using CDN, load balancers, and ingress controllers for single- and multi-region architectures.
  • Knowledge of hub-and-spoke network architectures in cloud environments.
  • Experience with containerized applications hosted locally and on cloud-native PaaS services such as Azure Container Apps or AWS ECS Fargate.
  • Experience debugging and troubleshooting applications in languages such as Java, C#, or Node.js.
  • Experience supporting security architecture and defining naming conventions, patterns, and practices.
  • Experience writing and maintaining tests for infrastructure code within an existing framework.
  • Experience analysing security scan results, particularly CVE reports.
  • Strong communication skills, including presenting technical solutions and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Awareness of how AI can accelerate tasks such as documentation, refactoring, testing, and debugging; experience with GitHub Copilot is desirable.
