Description

  • Act as the lead engineer on Product Engineering epics and stories.
  • Develop and operationalize repeatable Ensono public cloud services and solutions.
  • Define and evolve public cloud technical standards to improve repeatability, supportability, scalability, and security.
  • Make technical stack recommendations through research, assessments, bake-offs, and proofs of concept.
  • Assess and onboard new AWS and GCP services in line with the product roadmap.
  • Drive deployment of automated infrastructure and systems using infrastructure as code, configuration management, and scripting.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and advice to pre-sales architects on technical standards.
  • Act as a final escalation point and assist the cloud operations team with major problems.
  • Stay current on public cloud services and related technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management to bring standard services and solutions to market.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience supporting highly customer-focused, mission-critical environments such as high-profile web or enterprise infrastructure.
  • 5+ years of experience architecting, engineering, or supporting public cloud solutions on AWS or GCP.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS or GCP best practices, security considerations, and architectural design patterns.
  • Experience implementing and supporting public-cloud-based workloads and services.
  • Multiple current AWS or Google Cloud certifications, or equivalent level of knowledge.
  • Experience building solutions with infrastructure as code, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with configuration management systems such as Ansible.
  • Excellent Linux OS knowledge and experience, ideally RHCE level or equivalent.
  • Scripting ability in Python, Perl, or Bash.
  • Experience using Git for version control.
  • Experience with the AWS or GCP CLI and scripting against it.
  • Experience with containerized environments such as ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, or Docker is useful but not essential.
  • Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD pipeline technologies is useful.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools to improve productivity and quality, such as Copilot, Claude, or Kiro.
  • Good knowledge of TCP/IP.
  • A degree in a computing-related discipline is preferred, or equivalent ability and knowledge.
  • Experience working in ITIL and Agile environments is beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to share knowledge through clear documentation and demos/presentations.
  • Ability to implement supportable solutions and simplify complex problems.
  • Ability to work in an organized and efficient manner without close supervision.
  • Self-motivated, self-starting, and able to maintain a good working attitude.
  • Desire to continually grow, develop, and improve.
  • Ability to perform as a role model within the team.
