Description

  • Act as the lead engineer on Product Engineering epics and stories.
  • Develop and operationalize new repeatable Ensono public cloud services and solutions.
  • Define and evolve public cloud technical standards to ensure repeatability, supportability, scalability, and security.
  • Make recommendations on the technical stack through research, assessments, bake-offs, and proof-of-concepts.
  • Assess and onboard new AWS and GCP services in line with the product roadmap.
  • Drive deployment of automated infrastructure and systems using infrastructure as code, configuration management, and scripting.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and advice to pre-sales architects on technical standards.
  • Act as the final line of escalation and assistance for the cloud operations team on major problems.
  • Proactively stay current on public cloud services and related technologies.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience supporting highly customer-focused, mission-critical environments such as high-profile web or enterprise infrastructure.
  • 5+ years of experience architecting, engineering, or supporting public cloud solutions on AWS or GCP.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS or GCP best practices, security considerations, and architectural design patterns.
  • Experience implementing and supporting public cloud-based workloads and services.
  • Multiple current AWS or Google Cloud certifications, or equivalent level of knowledge.
  • Experience building solutions using Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with configuration management systems such as Ansible.
  • Excellent Linux operating system knowledge and experience, with RHCE or equivalent knowledge preferred.
  • Scripting ability in Python, Perl, or Bash.
  • Experience using Git for version control and AWS or GCP CLI tools.
  • Experience with containerized environments such as ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, or Docker is useful but not essential.
  • Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD pipeline technology is useful.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools to improve productivity and quality, such as Copilot, Claude, or Kiro.
  • Good knowledge of TCP/IP.
  • A degree in a computing-related discipline preferred, or equivalent ability and knowledge.
  • Experience working in ITIL and Agile environments is beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to document clearly and deliver demos/presentations.
  • Ability to implement supportable solutions and simplify complexity.
  • Ability to work independently in an organized and efficient manner without close supervision.
  • Self-motivated, self-starting, and able to maintain a good working attitude.
  • Desire to continually grow, develop, and improve.
  • Ability to serve as a role model within the team.
