Description

  • Set departmental goals, financial targets, and key performance indicators aligned with company objectives.
  • Shape Revenue Recovery strategy and identify continuous-improvement opportunities with senior leadership.
  • Oversee quality, productivity, and performance metrics, benchmarks, reporting, and corrective action plans.
  • Ensure processes, staffing, and inventory management support monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
  • Hire, train, coach, evaluate, and motivate staff; manage workloads, priorities, and team performance.
  • Lead process-change communications, operational best-practice training, and development of onboarding and ongoing education materials.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources for client action plans, corporate planning, resource allocation, and strategic partnerships.
  • Analyze operational processes and systems to improve workflows and standard operating procedures.
  • Manage senior client relationships through performance updates, collaboration, and resolution of escalated concerns.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, coding guidelines, and other regulatory requirements through policies, training, and process updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in health information management, nursing, healthcare administration, business, or a related field; equivalent education and experience considered.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Active CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification strongly preferred.
  • 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare reimbursement, including 5+ years in clinical denials or inpatient claims environments.
  • Strong knowledge of inpatient coding, DRG reimbursement methodology, clinical documentation, medical-record auditing, and payer guidelines.
  • Experience in hospital revenue cycle environments and with large-scale data and reporting tools.
  • Experience partnering with internal teams in a client-facing or client-support role.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels and deliver quantifiable results through direct reports.
  • Strong written, verbal, stakeholder-management, and client-relationship skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, meet production deadlines, and travel up to 10%.
