Description

  • Investigate and analyze motor vehicle accident accounts to identify and coordinate insurance benefits.
  • Conduct online medical research using EnableComp’s proprietary systems and other online medical sources.
  • Request, review, and organize medical records, provider notes, explanation of benefits, and other supporting documentation.
  • Manage the claim lifecycle and communicate accurate claim information to external patient counsel and insurance providers.
  • Perform timely follow-up with payers to confirm documentation receipt and support prompt reimbursement.
  • Prepare and submit correct MVA billing packets with required authorizations and supporting documents.
  • Communicate with patient attorneys to discuss claim status and likelihood of resolution.
  • Maintain privacy and security of patient health information and confidential/proprietary data.
  • Attend weekly team meetings and communicate claim issues, system errors, and HIPAA questions to management.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in the healthcare field working in billing or collections.
  • 2+ years of client-facing or customer service experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with MVA claim resolution preferred.
  • Experience with other complex claims is a plus.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Intermediate understanding of insurance payer/provider claims processing and data requirements related to motor vehicle claims.
  • Intermediate understanding of MVA legal requirements.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
