Description

  • Investigate and analyze motor vehicle accident accounts to identify and coordinate insurance benefits.
  • Conduct online medical research using proprietary software, internal systems, and external medical websites.
  • Request, review, and organize medical records, provider notes, explanation of benefits, and other supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and submit accurate MVA billing packets and hospital claims to insurance companies.
  • Follow up with payers in a timely manner to update claim status and support prompt reimbursement.
  • Communicate with patients and insurance adjusters about claim status and expected resolution.
  • Review and interpret payer EOBs to determine next steps for remaining claim balances.
  • Maintain accurate claim system records and ensure supporting documentation has been received.
  • Handle patient health information with strict privacy, security, and confidentiality standards.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare billing or collections.
  • 1+ years of experience with MVA claim resolution preferred.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Intermediate understanding of insurance payer/provider claims processing and data requirements for MVA and first party auto claims.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Regular and predictable attendance required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
