Description

  • Support students and families throughout the Empowerly college admissions journey.
  • Lead onboarding calls and help match families with the right counselor.
  • Respond to and resolve customer communications within internal service-level expectations.
  • Provide phone and email support using CRM tools.
  • Serve as a resource for counselors, families, and internal teams with consistent information across channels.
  • Create and improve processes that strengthen counseling quality and family onboarding.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction through routine surveys.
  • Support operations processes and contractor teams as part of a cross-functional group.
  • Help scale the Operations team by improving workflows and solving complex problems.
  • Represent Empowerly’s brand to current and prospective customers.

Requirements

  • Fluent in both Mandarin and English.
  • U.S. citizen based in the United States.
  • Preferred to live in EST or CST time zones.
  • 1-2 years of experience in student support, customer service, or a related customer experience role.
  • Experience in a college counseling firm is a bonus.
  • Undergraduate and/or graduate degree from a Top 100 institution preferred.
  • Familiarity with college preparation, application, and admission processes.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Comfort working some evening and weekend hours on a flexible schedule.
  • Experience with Google Workspace and modern technologies.
  • Experience with Zendesk, Aircall, HubSpot, or similar platforms preferred.
