Description

  • Own assigned accounting processes from transaction entry through reconciliation and financial reporting.
  • Maintain responsibility for key balance sheet accounts, functional accounting areas, and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare and maintain schedules for accruals, amortization, reserves, prepaid expenses, and other assigned accounts.
  • Lead assigned components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Analyze financial results and explain material variances and account activity.
  • Investigate discrepancies across accounting systems, reports, and operational data and resolve accounting issues.
  • Partner with Accounting, Finance, FP&A, Operations, IT, and systems teams on reporting, data quality, and business decisions.
  • Coordinate and provide documentation for internal and external audits and support compliance requirements.
  • Identify and lead process improvements, automation, and accounting system enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close ownership.
  • Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and technical accounting concepts.
  • Experience with an enterprise accounting system such as NetSuite, SAP, Sage Intacct, or a comparable platform.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex data analysis and management.
  • CPA designation or active progress toward a CPA is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
