Description

  • Lead day-to-day delivery performance as the single point of accountability for assigned nuclear projects.
  • Develop and maintain the Owner/Developer Scope of Supply Project Execution Plan and align delivery partners to it.
  • Establish governance structures, lead executive oversight forums, and advise senior leadership on project status, risks, and interventions.
  • Champion nuclear safety, EH&S, and quality culture across contractors, suppliers, and project participants.
  • Oversee independent assurance activities, including audits, surveillance programs, and corrective actions.
  • Own project scope definition, acceptance criteria, technical integration, and configuration control across major plant systems.
  • Approve or reject change proposals and design deviations that affect cost, schedule, or compliance.
  • Oversee schedule, budget, project controls, earned value, forecasting, variance management, and transparent reporting.
  • Lead commercial and contracting strategy across EPC, engineering services, OEM supply, and long-lead procurement.
  • Manage stakeholder, regulatory, risk, issue, and change processes across the project lifecycle.
  • Build and lead a high-performing owner/developer project team spanning engineering, controls, contracts, construction oversight, commissioning readiness, quality, and regulatory affairs.
  • Provide reporting and assurance to leadership, partners, lenders, regulators, and other stakeholders while maintaining compliant documentation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years delivering large-scale EPC or major capital infrastructure projects.
  • 10+ years in senior delivery leadership roles such as Project Director, Senior Project Manager, or Program Manager.
  • Commercial nuclear experience strongly preferred, or similarly regulated high-complexity energy megaproject experience with transferable scope.
  • Proven experience holding contractors accountable on multi-disciplinary, multi-billion-dollar projects from the owner/developer perspective.
  • Lifecycle expertise across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover.
  • Experience with EPCs, engineering services, OEM supply, and long-lead procurement, including negotiation, change control, claims evaluation, risk allocation, and performance remedies.
  • Demonstrated implementation of disciplined governance, project controls, and independent assurance routines.
  • Strong knowledge of nuclear safety culture, QA/QC standards, EH&S expectations, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Executive-ready communication skills for engaging regulators, government authorities, stakeholders, financiers, and boards.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to project sites and relocate temporarily or permanently to the project site when needed.
  • PMP and/or PE credentials preferred.
  • Formal training or certification in nuclear safety culture, quality management, or major project governance preferred.
  • Nuclear plant operations experience preferred, including RO, SRO, or Shift Technical Advisor roles.
  • Experience leading owner/developer organizations through design maturity, construction readiness, and commissioning readiness milestones preferred.
