Description

  • Serve as the lead administrator for enterprise database, system, and network environments supporting mission-critical operations.
  • Design, implement, administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise database platforms, operating systems, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Manage database performance, availability, scalability, integrity, and security across production, development, and test environments.
  • Administer relational and non-relational database systems, including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
  • Implement backup, recovery, replication, high-availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Support database security and compliance efforts through access controls, auditing, encryption, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Administer Windows and Linux server environments and support related network infrastructure.
  • Develop standards, procedures, documentation, baselines, dashboards, reports, and system metrics for stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot complex database, system, and network issues and support application deployments, integrations, and change management processes.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and on-call support in a 24x7 operational environment.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting IT programs, systems, or enterprise technology environments.
  • Experience administering enterprise database platforms such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
  • Experience supporting enterprise server environments, operating systems, and infrastructure components.
  • Experience with database backup and recovery, replication, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
  • Experience with database performance tuning, optimization, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of network technologies, protocols, and infrastructure components.
  • Experience implementing database security controls, access management, and data protection mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to lead technical efforts and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Suitability determination, Public Trust, Secret, or higher security clearance.
  • Preferred experience supporting DHS and/or CISA programs.
  • Preferred experience with Oracle RAC, SQL Server Always On, PostgreSQL clusters, or similar high-availability database solutions.
  • Preferred knowledge of NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, CDM, and Zero Trust principles.
  • Preferred experience with cloud-hosted database services, cloud migrations, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Preferred familiarity with infrastructure automation, scripting, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Preferred experience with tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Nagios, or similar platforms.
  • Preferred experience supporting cybersecurity audits, vulnerability remediation, STIG implementation, and compliance reporting.
  • Preferred certifications such as Oracle Database Administrator Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, AWS Database Specialty, Security+, Network+, CISSP, or ITIL Foundation.
