Description

  • Own the full sales cycle from cold outreach through close for new-logo acquisition in an assigned mid-market territory.
  • Drive adoption of Elastic’s AI-powered search, observability, and security solutions within new accounts.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by translating search analytics into actionable business insights.
  • Position Elastic as a Search AI platform by discussing cloud economics, usage-based pricing, and modern data architectures.
  • Identify and develop new use cases that show how Elastic’s solutions improve efficiency and intelligence.
  • Develop territory business plans using community, customer, and partner ecosystems to drive growth.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and manage complex sales cycles end to end.
  • Conduct deep discovery and qualification using frameworks such as MEDDPICC to assess pain, impact, budget, and decision criteria.
  • Work cross-functionally with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and RevOps to accelerate deals and improve customer outcomes.
  • Lead executive-level negotiations and pricing discussions, and maintain accurate CRM records and forecast plans.

Requirements

  • Experience in SaaS subscription sales in mid-market accounts with a history of overachievement.
  • Proven success focused on acquiring new logos.
  • Ability to craft value-based narratives that connect technical capabilities to business outcomes such as revenue growth or risk mitigation.
  • Comfort discussing security, observability, vector and traditional search, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Experience leading high-stakes contract and pricing negotiations.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Consistent, predictable, and accurate sales forecasting ability.
  • Ability to collaborate with customers on formal close plans and keep CRM data up to date.
  • Technical curiosity combined with the grit of a value-based seller.
  • Enthusiasm for open-source technology and the community around it.
