Description

  • Drive adoption of Elastic’s AI-powered search, observability, and security solutions across new and existing mid-market accounts.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers by helping them turn data into actionable insights.
  • Position Elastic as the Search AI platform of choice through conversations about cloud economics, usage-based pricing, and modern data architectures.
  • Identify and develop new use cases that demonstrate how Elastic improves efficiency and decision-making.
  • Develop territory business plans using community, customer, and partner ecosystems to grow the account base.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and manage complex sales cycles from discovery through close.
  • Use deep discovery and qualification to assess pain, business impact, budget, and decision criteria.
  • Partner with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and RevOps to accelerate deals and improve customer outcomes.
  • Lead executive negotiations on contracts and pricing.
  • Maintain accurate CRM updates, formal close plans, and sales forecasts.

Requirements

  • Success in SaaS subscription sales within mid-market accounts, with a record of overachievement.
  • High-level technical curiosity combined with the presence and credibility of a value-based seller.
  • Ability to tell value stories that connect Elastic’s products to measurable business outcomes such as revenue growth or risk mitigation.
  • Comfort discussing security, observability, vector and traditional search, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Experience leading high-stakes contract and pricing negotiations.
  • Ability to establish credibility with both technical practitioners and executive leadership.
  • Consistent, predictable, and accurate sales forecasting skills.
  • Ability to create alignment across teams to accelerate deals.
  • Familiarity with using AI or new technologies to improve performance and deal structuring (preferred).
  • Enthusiasm for the open-source model and the community around it (preferred).
