Description

  • Own a territory and build pipeline through proactive outbound outreach across email, phone, and social channels.
  • Run deep discovery and qualification to uncover pain, business impact, budget, and decision criteria using frameworks such as MEDDPICC.
  • Create tailored value narratives and deliver live demos that connect Elastic’s Search, Observability, and Security offerings to business outcomes.
  • Present effectively to both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Build mutual close plans with customers and maintain accurate CRM records and forecasting.
  • Lead contract and pricing negotiations, including give/get trades and multi-year consumption commitments.
  • Position Elastic as a Search AI platform by discussing cloud economics, usage-based pricing, and modern data architectures.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and RevOps to accelerate deals and improve customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of success as a quota-carrying SaaS seller closing complex deals.
  • Consistent overachievement in a consumption-based or usage-model environment.
  • Experience applying MEDDPICC or a similar qualification framework.
  • Track record of delivering executive-level presentations and demos tied to measurable business value.
  • Experience negotiating multi-year, high-ACV contracts while protecting margin and gaining executive buy-in.
  • Comfort discussing observability, security, vector and traditional search, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Strong collaborative mindset and coachability in cross-functional team environments.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for open-source communities and the Elastic model.
  • Preferred: prior experience at an open-source or developer-centric infrastructure company.
  • Preferred: familiarity with observability use cases such as logs, metrics, and traces, or security analytics use cases such as SIEM/XDR.
