Description

  • Own a defined territory and build a proactive outbound pipeline across email, phone, and social channels.
  • Drive net-new revenue and expansion within strategic enterprise accounts.
  • Run deep discovery and qualification to assess pain, business impact, budget, and decision criteria.
  • Deliver tailored value stories and live demos that connect Elastic’s platform capabilities to customer outcomes.
  • Collaborate with customers to build close plans and maintain accurate CRM forecasting.
  • Lead contract and pricing negotiations to secure multi-year consumption commitments.
  • Position Elastic through discussions of cloud economics, usage-based pricing, and modern data architectures.
  • Partner with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and RevOps to accelerate deals and improve customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience closing complex enterprise SaaS deals.
  • Consistent overachievement in a consumption-based or usage-model sales environment.
  • Experience using MEDDPICC or an equivalent qualification framework.
  • Track record of delivering executive-level presentations and product demos.
  • History of negotiating high-ACV, multi-year contracts while protecting margin.
  • Comfort discussing observability, security, vector/traditional search, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Collaborative mindset and coachability, with the ability to partner effectively across internal teams.
  • Genuine interest in open-source communities; prior OSS selling or advocacy is a bonus.
  • Prior experience at an open-source or developer-centric infrastructure company is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with observability use cases such as logs, metrics, and traces, or security analytics such as SIEM/XDR is a bonus.
  • Must be based in the Johannesburg/Pretoria region.
