Description

  • Own a defined territory and build a proactive pipeline through outbound outreach across email, phone, and social channels.
  • Drive net-new revenue and expansion within strategic enterprise accounts.
  • Run deep discovery and qualification conversations to assess pain, business impact, budget, and decision criteria.
  • Craft tailored value narratives and deliver live demos that connect Elastic’s platform capabilities to business outcomes.
  • Build formal close plans with customers and maintain accurate CRM forecasting.
  • Lead contract and pricing negotiations and close multi-year consumption commitments.
  • Position Elastic through conversations about cloud economics, usage-based pricing, and modern data architectures.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and RevOps to accelerate deals and improve customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience closing complex enterprise SaaS deals in a quota-carrying role.
  • Consistent success overachieving targets in a consumption-based or usage-model environment.
  • Experience using MEDDPICC or an equivalent qualification framework.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver executive-level presentations and product demos.
  • Track record of negotiating and closing multi-year, high-ACV contracts while protecting margin.
  • Comfort discussing observability, security, vector/traditional search, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Strong collaboration, coachability, and ability to work effectively with internal cross-functional teams.
  • Genuine appreciation for open-source communities and the Elastic model; OSS selling or advocacy experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience at an open-source or developer-centric infrastructure company is preferred.
  • Familiarity with observability use cases such as logs, metrics, and traces, or security analytics such as SIEM/XDR is a bonus.

  • Typical starting salary range of $113,300 to $179,200 USD.
  • Typical starting target variable range of $113,200 to $179,100 USD.
  • Typical starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) range of $226,500 to $358,300 USD.
