Description

  • Drive adoption of Elastic’s AI-powered search, observability, and security solutions in new and existing public sector accounts.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by helping customers turn search analytics into actionable business insights.
  • Position Elastic through conversations about cloud economics, usage-based pricing, and modern data architectures.
  • Solve complex customer data challenges beyond transactional selling.
  • Promote both Elastic’s commercial features and its open-source offerings.
  • Identify new use cases that improve how users work and operate.
  • Develop strategic territory and business plans using community, customer, and partner ecosystems.
  • Prospect and manage complex sales cycles from opportunity identification through close.
  • Lead deep discovery and qualification using MEDDPICC and similar frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, RevOps, and customers to accelerate deals and improve outcomes.

Requirements

  • Experience selling SaaS subscriptions into public sector accounts, with a record of overachievement.
  • Strong technical curiosity paired with the presence and credibility of a value-based seller.
  • Ability to create value-based narratives that connect Elastic’s capabilities to measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience leading high-stakes contract and pricing negotiations.
  • Comfort discussing security, observability, traditional and vector search, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Ability to build credibility with both technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Strong forecasting discipline, including building close plans and keeping CRM data current.
  • Ability to create alignment across teams to move deals forward.
  • An AI mindset and willingness to use new technologies to improve performance and deal structuring.
  • Enthusiasm for open source and the community around Elastic’s solutions.
  • Prior experience at an open-source or developer-centric infrastructure company is a plus.
  • Familiarity with observability use cases such as logs, metrics, and traces or security analytics use cases such as SIEM/XDR is a plus.
