Description

  • Participate in the full product life cycle from planning through delivery.
  • Write clean, functional code and use AI-assisted development tools to speed up prototyping, debugging, and boilerplate generation.
  • Drive development of a new internal product.
  • Work closely with engineering leadership and the product team to set priorities and manage the technical roadmap.
  • Scale RESTful APIs and optimize proprietary algorithms that support global trade.
  • Contribute to the migration toward microservices and shape the backend technical direction.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams.
  • Mentor junior developers and help raise code quality standards.
  • Bring forward new development ideas that support the business and improve the team’s work.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of strong software development experience with Ruby on Rails and SQL databases.
  • Strong experience building highly scalable systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to increase coding velocity, improve test coverage, and solve complex refactoring tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to uphold high standards for security and data privacy practices.
  • Familiarity with Git and Git flow, along with modern project management tools.
  • Experience writing clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Background working in product teams at startups.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is not specified, but candidates should be open to learning and may still be considered if they do not meet every requirement.
