Description

  • Serve as a strategic advisor on People technology by assessing the current systems landscape, identifying gaps, and helping shape the roadmap for future tools and capabilities.
  • Design, build, and maintain Workato-based automations across the People tech stack as the primary technical owner.
  • Deliver workflows and integrations that connect systems, eliminate manual processes, and scale with the business.
  • Own the governance framework for People Team automation, including standards, documentation practices, access controls, and policies.
  • Identify and resolve automation gaps across systems such as Workday, Greenhouse, benefits platforms, payroll systems, and other third-party tools.
  • Partner with People Team stakeholders and cross-functional partners to gather requirements, map processes, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Eliminate repetitive People operations work across onboarding, offboarding, employee data changes, approvals, and compliance workflows.
  • Evaluate emerging HR technology and recommend new tools and capabilities that improve how the People Team operates.
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations, integration architecture, and workflow logic to support continuity and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a baccalaureate degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR technology, People systems, or a related technical role.
  • Hands-on experience building and managing automations using Workato or a comparable iPaaS platform such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Zapier.
  • Workato experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience owning automations in production, including governance, documentation, and ongoing stewardship.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate People team requirements into technical solutions and eliminate manual processes through automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and a bias toward clean, scalable, well-governed solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical audiences and influence without direct authority.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships, thrive in a fast-paced high-growth environment, and handle sensitive employee data with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Workato certification(s) are preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Workday HCM, including configuration, business process frameworks, reporting, and integrations, is preferred.
  • Direct experience within a People Team or HR function and fluency in core HR processes across the employee lifecycle are preferred.
  • Experience establishing or maturing an automation governance practice, including standards, recipe libraries, and access/change control policies, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled HR tools, agentic workflows, or emerging automation capabilities within People systems is preferred.
  • Fluency in Google apps, Greenhouse, Jira, and other People systems is preferred.

  • Base salary range of $142,800 to $193,200 USD.
  • Base salary is supplemented by equity compensation.
