Description

  • Lead the design, evaluation, and deployment of the production photogrammetry pipeline at scale.
  • Drive integration and evaluation of newer 3D reconstruction approaches, including gaussian splats and foundation 3D models.
  • Optimize 3D systems for speed, accuracy, and robustness in production environments.
  • Own the hardest technical investigations from initial triage through production rollout and long-tail support.
  • Set the technical bar for photogrammetry by reviewing designs, improving experiment quality, and codifying best practices.
  • Own photogrammetry observability, including KPIs, instrumentation, dashboards, logs, alerts, and issue detection processes.
  • Mentor engineers and manage 1–2 direct reports in the first year, with scope expected to expand over time.
  • Drive execution of the photogrammetry roadmap in partnership with CV leadership and sequence work effectively.
  • Codify debugging and investigation playbooks into reusable team workflows and support resources.
  • Reshape the team’s use of AI across the SDLC by evaluating tools, authoring reusable skills, and establishing trust standards for agent-generated code.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in 3D Computer Vision or 3D Machine Learning.
  • Deep experience with production photogrammetry or 3D reconstruction systems at scale, including shipped and operated customer-facing pipelines.
  • Experience across at least three of these areas: feature detection and matching, SfM, MVS, monocular depth estimation, mesh reconstruction, mesh texturing, or SLAM.
  • A track record with agentic development; this is a required filter for the role.
  • Experience setting technical direction for a team and growing engineers, with interest in moving further into people leadership.
  • Strong ability to timebox experiments, iterate effectively, and triage uncertain technical paths.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Ability to work remotely with AM standup overlap with Pacific Time.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical collaboration with PMs, leadership, and engineers.
  • Experience with gaussian splatting and/or foundation 3D reconstruction methods such as MASt3R or DUSt3R, or comparable approaches.
  • Proficiency in C++ for performance-critical paths.
  • Fluency in modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalent training stacks.
  • Experience running and monitoring many concurrent ML experiments in cloud environments.
  • Comfort with cloud processing platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, plus Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with geospatial systems or aerial imagery pipelines.
