Description

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy front-end and back-end application components.
  • Build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Develop and maintain server-side logic, APIs, and database integrations.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and data models.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure secure authentication and authorization.
  • Create reusable UI components and translate wireframes into functional interfaces.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and production support.
  • Conduct peer code reviews, enforce coding standards, and develop automated tests.
  • Mentor other developers and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with product, UX, DevOps, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 7–9+ years of professional full stack development experience.
  • Proven experience building end-to-end enterprise applications.
  • Experience working in agile development environments.
  • Front-end experience with React JS, Sencha Ext JS 4.2, vanilla JavaScript, and OOP patterns.
  • Back-end experience with Python, Java EE 8 / Jakarta EE, WildFly 18+, Quartz Scheduler, and JWT-based authentication/authorization.
  • Experience with microservices architecture patterns and FastAPI.
  • Experience with AWS SDK services such as SNS, SQS, and STS.
  • Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
  • Experience with Docker, Maven, Git, DataDog, DynaTrace, JUnit, and Mockito.
  • Healthcare domain knowledge, especially in appointments, notifications, and patient tracking, is required; experience with healthcare/government systems and compliance considerations is preferred.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and residence in the Continental United States are required.
  • Experience in product development at the VA is preferred.
  • Experience supporting federal or regulated environments is preferred.
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems into cloud-native architectures is preferred.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives or feature teams is preferred.
