Description

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain front-end and back-end application components.
  • Build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces that align with accessibility standards.
  • Develop server-side logic, APIs, database integrations, and seamless client-server connections.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs, data models, and secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Optimize application performance, database queries, and overall system reliability.
  • Create reusable UI components and collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes into functional interfaces.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment workflows, containerization, and orchestration.
  • Monitor application performance, support production deployments, and troubleshoot cross-stack issues.
  • Conduct peer code reviews, enforce coding standards, and develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives, and technical estimation discussions.

Requirements

  • 4–6+ years of professional full stack development experience.
  • Proven experience building end-to-end enterprise applications.
  • Experience working in agile development environments.
  • Experience with React JS, Sencha Ext JS 4.2, vanilla JavaScript, and OOP patterns.
  • Experience with Python, Java EE 8 / Jakarta EE, WildFly 18+, Quartz Scheduler, and JWT-based authentication/authorization.
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and working with microservices architecture patterns.
  • Experience with FastAPI and third-party integrations using AWS SDK services such as SNS, SQS, and STS.
  • Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB with Morphia ORM.
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, Maven, Git, DataDog, DynaTrace, JUnit, and Mockito.
  • Healthcare domain knowledge, including appointments, notifications, and patient tracking, and familiarity with healthcare/government compliance considerations.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and residence in the Continental United States are required.
  • Preferred: Experience in product development at the VA.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting federal or regulated environments.
  • Preferred: Experience modernizing legacy systems into cloud-native architectures.
