Description

  • Design enterprise, data centre, campus and WAN network solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
  • Lead network assessments, architecture reviews, capacity planning and infrastructure-modernisation initiatives.
  • Develop high- and low-level designs, network diagrams, implementation plans and configuration documentation.
  • Deploy, configure and troubleshoot Cisco routing, switching, Catalyst and Nexus infrastructure.
  • Design and resolve complex BGP, OSPF, IS-IS and EIGRP routing environments, including resilient multi-site WAN connectivity.
  • Implement Layer 2 and Layer 3 services such as VLANs, STP, VRF, MPLS, QoS and multicast.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Secure Firewall, ASA, VPN, IPsec, segmentation, ACL and Cisco ISE access-control solutions.
  • Serve as the highest-level escalation point for critical incidents, conducting packet analysis and root-cause investigations.
  • Develop network automation for configuration, deployment, compliance monitoring and validation using Python, Ansible and APIs.
  • Establish technical standards, review designs, mentor network engineers and communicate recommendations to customers and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of hands-on enterprise or service-provider networking experience.
  • Extensive experience configuring, managing and troubleshooting Cisco enterprise infrastructure and large, complex multi-site networks.
  • Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, network security, high availability, TCP/IP, OSI principles and enterprise network architecture.
  • Hands-on expertise with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, routing policies, MPLS, VRF, VXLAN, QoS, multicast and resilient network design.
  • Proficiency with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms, including IOS, IOS XE and NX-OS.
  • Experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco Secure Firewall, VPNs, Cisco ISE, network segmentation and identity-based access controls.
  • Strong packet capture, protocol analysis, root-cause investigation and complex troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Python, Ansible, REST APIs, configuration management, infrastructure as code and software-defined networking.
  • Active CCIE certification is highly desirable; CCNP, CCDE, Azure/AWS networking and ITIL certifications are preferred.
  • Experience with Meraki, Catalyst SD-WAN, SD-Access, Cisco ACI, hybrid cloud networking, major migrations or managed services environments is advantageous.
