Description

  • Lead enterprise systems administration, network operations, and operations and maintenance across the USMEPCOM enterprise.
  • Serve as the contractor's service owner for enterprise infrastructure services and ensure service level objectives are met.
  • Plan, organize, and direct contractor personnel supporting USMEPCOM network operations and maintenance.
  • Provide technical leadership for servers, operating systems, databases, virtualization, storage, collaboration tools, cloud environments, and network infrastructure.
  • Perform system configuration, validation, integration, administration, and interoperability support for enterprise hardware and software.
  • Lead engineering development, infrastructure integration, interface design analysis, testing, and enterprise systems implementation.
  • Apply RMF security principles and support compliance with Department of Defense cybersecurity requirements.
  • Lead the Outage Response Team and direct outage response, incident management, disaster recovery, and COOP activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact during major outages and coordinate with leadership, vendors, DISA, and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor performance, availability, and operational health while identifying opportunities for automation and infrastructure improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience managing enterprise IT teams in geographically dispersed locations.
  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience supporting enterprise servers, Windows and UNIX/Linux systems, databases, VMware ESXi, SANs, collaboration tools, enterprise applications, scripting, and enterprise security.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience leading network personnel and coordinating enterprise outage response procedures.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience supporting DISA network transport solutions.
  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience supporting cloud-based enterprise solutions and cloud infrastructure.
  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience in virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments.
  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience in enterprise network and systems administration, including outage response and incident management.
  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience leading enterprise network operations teams on programs of similar size, scope, and complexity.
  • Minimum 6 years of recent experience supporting global enterprise network systems and subsystems, including LAN, WAN, MPLS, BGP, network availability, troubleshooting, and infrastructure optimization.
  • Minimum 3 years of recent experience supporting IPv4/IPv6 protocol stacks, local and long-haul communications, firewall appliances, firewall rulesets, and enterprise firewall solutions.
  • Must have or obtain all certifications required under DoDM 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program.
  • Must have an active ITIL® 4 Practice Manager Certification or ITIL® 4 Foundation Certification.
  • If not already held, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE), at least one information security certification, at least two network certifications, and DoDI 8570.01 IASAE Level III certification must be obtained within one month of hire.
  • Active Secret Clearance required.
  • Ability to support a complex Department of Defense IT enterprise and lead geographically dispersed technical teams.

  • Approximately 25% travel is anticipated during the first six months, mainly to North Chicago, Illinois.
