Description

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and alliances to expand the client base.
  • Build and manage a personal lead-generation pipeline through outbound outreach, networking, and events.
  • Run the full deal cycle from discovery and scoping through proposal, negotiation, and close.
  • Collaborate with production to shape opportunities that align with the company’s capabilities and expertise.
  • Maintain high client satisfaction and nurture relationships across operational, senior, and strategic stakeholders.
  • Support account retention and growth strategies for major accounts alongside the Head of BD.
  • Serve as the primary client contact when production issues arise and help drive solutions.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts and agreements with clients, partners, and vendors.
  • Support legal and finance on contract and invoicing questions for current accounts.
  • Maintain CRM discipline, prepare weekly plans and status reports, and represent the company at industry events and conferences.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships in the games industry, with Director-level revenue ownership.
  • Experience selling or growing accounts across PC, console, and mobile platforms.
  • Demonstrated personal lead generation experience with outbound prospecting and top-of-funnel conversion.
  • Proven account growth track record with measurable quarter-over-quarter growth.
  • Experience negotiating commercial contract terms including pricing, scope, IP, payment terms, and indemnity.
  • Strong commercial fluency, including understanding of margin, scope changes, and project P&L.
  • Experience using CRM tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or comparable systems.
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills across all levels of clients and internal teams.
  • Strong presentation, written, and spoken English skills, including comfort with senior stakeholders and public events.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deals and deadlines.
  • Genuine knowledge of and passion for video games and the broader games ecosystem.
  • Calm under pressure, organized, and accountable with a consistently high quality standard.
  • Experience selling co-development, porting, art services, or other game services is preferred.
  • An existing network across publishers, platform holders, and mid-to-large independent studios in North America and Europe is preferred.
  • Experience hiring and mentoring junior BD or lead-generation staff is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the GDC, Gamescom, Devcom, or regional conference circuit is preferred.
  • Familiarity with advanced research tools and prospecting resources is preferred.
