Description

  • Lead application and infrastructure migrations from on-premises environments to Azure, including workloads on vSphere and Pure Storage.
  • Assess and upgrade legacy commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software as part of migration and modernization efforts.
  • Architect and implement Azure infrastructure aligned with Azure Well-Architected Framework principles.
  • Write, review, and maintain Bicep or Terraform infrastructure-as-code modules.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps Pipelines.
  • Manage Azure services such as VMs, AKS, ACR, App Services, Storage Accounts, SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Azure AD, Front Door, Application Gateway, and Azure Monitor/Log Analytics.
  • Design multi-subscription and hub-and-spoke networking topologies using Azure Management Groups, Virtual WAN, Private Link, and RBAC.
  • Deploy and manage Palo Alto firewalls in Azure, including integration with ExpressRoute and hybrid connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot Azure RBAC, Managed Identity, and network configuration issues across VNets, NSGs, UDRs, and peering.
  • Monitor, debug, and optimize infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Dynatrace.
  • Document architecture and processes while supporting distributed teams across US time zones.

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
  • Must be a resident of the continental United States.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience leading or executing on-premises-to-cloud migrations, including planning, assessment, and cutover.
  • 2+ years of experience with on-premises infrastructure, including physical servers, legacy networking, and data center operations.
  • Experience assessing and upgrading legacy or COTS software in modernization or migration projects.
  • 6+ years of hands-on DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience with production-grade Azure infrastructure and core services.
  • Deep knowledge of Azure core services and architecture patterns.
  • Strong experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
  • Proficiency in container tooling such as Docker, AKS, or Container Apps.
  • Solid understanding of Azure AD/RBAC, networking concepts, and monitoring best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD automation tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines, or Jenkins.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Understanding of Java.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience supporting distributed teams.
  • Experience with vSphere and Pure Storage in enterprise environments (preferred).
  • Familiarity with hybrid networking scenarios such as VPN and ExpressRoute Global Reach (preferred).
  • Exposure to CIS or NIST compliance frameworks and collaboration with SOC/SIEM teams (preferred).
  • Knowledge of QRadar or similar SIEM platforms (preferred).
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs into cloud platforms (preferred).
  • Proficiency with Power BI and dashboard creation from Azure service data sources (preferred).
  • Exposure to FinOps practices, including Azure Cost Management, budgets, and cost governance (preferred).
