Description

  • Manage a team of 5-6 software engineers and drive day-to-day execution.
  • Set team direction by connecting customer needs, product vision, and technical constraints.
  • Partner closely with Product, Design, AI Research, and other engineering stakeholders to deliver results.
  • Own planning, prioritization, alignment, and follow-through to maximize outcomes.
  • Recruit, mentor, and grow engineers while fostering a high-performing team culture.
  • Provide clear feedback, create growth opportunities, and address underperformance early.
  • Drive operational excellence through predictable, reliable, and sustainable engineering processes.
  • Guide architectural decisions and maintain a high technical bar for quality and reliability.
  • Improve the agent product experience, including workflows such as chat history and prompt/template tuning.
  • Lead experimentation and quality improvements across routing, pricing, harness design, tool design, token optimization, and evals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years of engineering management experience delivering complex, cross-functional product work with high velocity and quality.
  • Experience hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineering talent.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to guide architectural decisions and evaluate tradeoffs.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working closely with Product, Design, and Research partners.
  • Ability to plan on a 12+ month horizon while reprioritizing quickly as new information emerges.
  • High ownership and a bias toward action in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Preferred experience building agents, developing evals, or leading teams building LLM-powered products.
  • Preferred experience building creative tools or being a frequent user of creative media tools.
  • Ability to include the word "analog" as the first word in the cover letter when applying.
