Description

  • Lead the organization’s finance and accounting operations, including budgeting, cash flow, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Develop and maintain financial reporting, dashboards, and management reports that support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, and accurate financial records across multiple entities.
  • Oversee the annual audit process and prepare required filings, including Form 990, Form 990-T, Form 1120-POL, and state charity and PAC reports.
  • Manage intercompany transactions, allocations, cost-sharing, cash settlements, and transfers in compliance with legal restrictions.
  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and grants administration.
  • Lead annual organizational budgeting and planning and monitor performance against budget with variance analysis.
  • Oversee business operations, including IT infrastructure, hardware, software, cloud tools, contracts, insurance, and other operational compliance requirements.
  • Lead all human resources functions, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, offboarding, benefits, compensation, policies, investigations, and employee relations.
  • Manage staff and consultants across finance, HR, IT, and audit functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA certification is desirable.
  • 5+ years of financial and/or operations leadership experience.
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in a multi-entity nonprofit environment.
  • Experience managing budgets over $8 million.
  • Extensive experience with intercompany transactions.
  • Direct, hands-on experience managing operations and HR functions, including technology infrastructure, vendor management, facilities, benefits, compensation, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Experience leading annual audits.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite accounting software.
  • Proficiency with Paylocity HCM software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to translate complex financial information for audiences with varying levels of financial understanding.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the organization’s mission.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.
